.::$10.6 Million Cyberbullying Program Launched in VIC Schools::.
The Victorian Government announced yesterday that it would be funding the implementation of eSmart, a new anti-cyberbullying system piloted by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation in 159 Aussie schools.
This is robust and innovative initiative, which will assist school communities by developing effective policy and practices, providing teacher training and offering official eSmart certification. As an organisation that is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of young people both on- and offline, we are very excited about this initiative and send out a massive CONGRATULATIONS to those who have worked so hard to get it off the ground.
In light of this news...
We are pleased to announce that as of 2011, PROJECT ROCKIT will be offering a brand-new cyberbullying program to assist schools in tackling this important issue. Due to the range of specific sub-issues involved in cyberbullying, the programs will be structured slightly differently to our traditional workshops (but use the same P-ROCK formula of strengths-based participation and genuine youth know-how!).
