How is PROJECT ROCKIT structured?

Through a forum of role-plays, story telling, team activities, social expesriments, creative writing and group discussion, students explore their attitudes, strengths, beliefs and behaviours. The PROJECT ROCKIT anti-bullying program includes the following four sessions:

1. Blast Off (a new look at the issue of bullying)
2. Standby to ROCKIT (bullying and the bystander)
3. ROCKin’ in Rhythm (communication, anger management and teamwork)
4. Find your Inner ROCKIT (personal leadership, vision and resilience)

We do strongly recommend running the full four-week program in the above, but the arrangement of these sessions is flexible according to the requirements of individual schools.

Each session typically operates within a one-hour time frame, but this can be adapted to a 50-minute period length. Ideally the program is best run outside of the classroom (in a drama or multi-purpose room), giving students lots of space to move around and step outside the social roles that they may play within the class. We usually work with an group size of up to 50 students at a time (two classes joined together). We love a challenge and are able to tailor sessions to your specific needs as well.
