WHO WE ARE
PROJECT ROCKIT’s NATIONAL YOUTH COLLECTIVE is represented by 50+ diverse young people from across Australia. Aged 12 to 21 years, they act as advocates, creators, advisors and collaborators on work and projects with PROJECT ROCKIT and our partners to help build a world where kindness and respect thrive.
The COLLECTIVE holds us all accountable to remaining youth-driven and ensures that we understand the complex and nuanced experiences of young people today. Their lived experiences help us to better influence and shape the systems that govern their lives.
WHY WE'RE DIFFERENT
Not a Youth Advisory Council, not Youth Consultants.
The Youth Collective are a cohort of everyday young Australians interested in creating a better, more inclusive world. They are our collaborators who, through Launchpad Studio , bring unique lived experience to the work we do.
Through a non-hierarchical structure, our partners meet and work with members of the Collective in every aspect of the journey. From pitching and planning out work to co-creating content or evaluating and writing final reports. The Collective are involved in projects from end-to-end, and are part of the “doing”, not just the “advising”.
Our approach to working together is unique. We care deeply about the process and the execution when it comes to working with young people and we bring that to all of our partners we work with.

OUR IMPACT MODEL
The Collective Impact Network is a collection of 1000s of young Australians who we draw on to be part of our work. Within the Network are select cohorts including:
The Youth Collective: The core group of young people who take on different projects that help fulfil the vision and mission of PROJECT ROCKIT through different work.
Youth-led Organisations: These are newly established youth-led organisations who are supported and mentored by PROJECT ROCKIT to achieve social impact
Alumni: We stay connected to all our previous members, and engage them as required in work and projects so they continue to support our vision and mission.
OUR COLLECTIVE VOICE
A blog driven by the National Youth Collective. Designed by youth, for youth, sharing lived experiences and perspectives, and open monthly for submissions!
EXPLORE THE BLOGYouth Voices, Real Impact

At PROJECT ROCKIT, young people aren’t just part of the conversation—they’re leading it. Our Youth Participation Principles are built on respect, authenticity, and meaningful inclusion. We create spaces where youth voices are heard, valued, and empowered to drive real change. It’s not about tokenism; it’s about partnership, leadership, and making sure young people shape the decisions that affect their lives.
“We have a horizontal hierarchical structure, which gives us as young people a lot of autonomy around what we get to do and how we interact with the various projects.”
- Rhea, Collective Member, 19
