2025 asked a lot of young people – and a lot of the adults, schools, and systems supporting them. At PROJECT ROCKIT, our role isn’t to speak for young people, but to work with them: creating spaces where their voices are heard, their experiences shape the work, and their leadership drives real change.

In 2025, PROJECT ROCKIT directly reached 136,893 young people across 294 schools in every State and Territory. Our school partners spanned government (82%), independent (11%) and Catholic (7%) sectors – a powerful reminder that building safe, inclusive communities is a shared commitment across Australian education.
Our Programs Team clocked some serious kilometres along the way, delivering workshops in 60% metropolitan and 40% regional, rural and remote communities. Both students and teachers leaned right in to the PROJECT ROCKIT experience, with 9 in 10 students reporting that they found our programs personally useful, and teachers giving our workshops an average rating of 8.4 out of 10.
Through the Project Rockit Foundation, we delivered funded programs and digital support to 71,003 students across 124 schools serving communities with significant access barriers. The Foundation exists to ensure that young people facing marginalisation can access life-changing programs – no matter their school’s resources or location.
2025 also saw the launch of Digital Futures, our innovative partnership with the Telstra Foundation, supporting young people (particularly in regional and rural communities) to build digital skills, confidence and online safety. Through tailored school programs, community sessions and youth-created content, Digital Futures is helping young people navigate an increasingly complex digital world with greater agency and support.
Alongside this, our National Youth Collective continued to shape and strengthen our work across schools, industry and policy spaces. With more than 50 young people contributing their lived experience, insight and leadership, the Collective ensures that youth voice isn’t an add-on – it’s embedded at the heart of everything we do.

In 2026, PROJECT ROCKIT turns 20. What began as a small, youth-led project has grown into a national movement – and this milestone is both an opportunity to reflect and a prompt to look forward with intention.
Next year, we will continue to deepen our impact while expanding our reach. That means working in more communities across Australia, while continuing to focus on supporting those facing the greatest barriers. We don’t just go where it’s easy. We show up where we're needed most and we invest the time, relationships and care needed to make the work stick.
Alongside this, 2026 will be a year of big-picture thinking – creating space to imagine the next chapter of PROJECT ROCKIT, powered by the young people who will carry it forward. Let’s go 2026!
