In their first year, the National Youth Collective's reach and impact has been a catalyst for change across local, community and national platforms, including shaping policy, advising government, influencing major social media platforms on youth safety, leading with lived experience at major summits & conferences, guiding research and youth engagement, making headlines on national news platforms, and much more.

SHAPING OUR FEEDS Report and Campaign shared with META APAC Safety Summit and Australian Association for Adolescent Health (AAAH) Conference.

SHAPING OUR FEEDS Outreach from the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVIC) who have used the report and videos to advocate on this issue, including profiling the report in a range of forums and promoting it to our statewide readership. They are producing a profile piece on the work to publish and distribute to their members.

SHAPING OUR FEEDS research and advice supported the development of META’s Teen Accounts and the decision to give users greater control over recommender systems by resetting their algorithm data.

ELEVATING PROJECT ROCKIT

PROJECT ROCKIT MERCHANDISE

The initial request for merchandise, which resulted in a range of merchandise being designed and created by the COLLECTIVE, offered stimulus internally for the SALES & MARKETING team to generate merchandise to support marketing & sales.

Improving Workshops & Program Delivery

A Collective Member facilitated the feedback of teachers and students at Salesian College through their Child Safety Committee and proactively reached out to PROJECT ROCKIT meeting with our Head of Programs to give authentic and candid advice.

Brand Strategy

A small group of Members responded to a survey from our CEO to support the development of the organisation’s BRAND STRATEGY.

COLLECTIVE Members, Noa & Maxine, participated in the design and filming of PROJECT ROCKIT TV (PRTV) Season 5, created in partnership with Culture Spring, a Youth-led Social Enterprise by Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) and with support from the William Buckland Foundation.
